I just finished The Immortals Series written by Alyson Noel. This series is comprised of 6 books:
1) Evermore (***)
2) Blue Moon (***)
3) Shadowland (***)
4) Dark Flame (***)
5) Night Star (**)
6) Everlasting (***)
The series follows a young girl, Ever, whose been reincarnated over the ages and her soul mate Damen who is immortal. Every few centuries, Ever gets reincarnated as someone new. Damen finds her and they again fall madly in love, only to be separated by Ever's death before they could ever do more than a simple kiss. Come to find out, Damen's ex-wife Drina is to blame for Ever's deaths.
Once Drina is dealt with, Ever and Damen have new challenges that stand in their way from truly being together. Their love is put to the test time and time again.
I'm a stubborn person and I stuck with this series even though I wanted to drop it like a hot potato. It was hard to stick with these books and I did something I absolutely HATE doing and very very rarely, if ever, do. I skipped through the last two books because I was so bored with them.
Don't get me wrong. The story line was good. It just seemed like it was dragged out way too much. The author could have compacted everything into 2, maybe 3 books and cut out the excess. It's really not a series I would recommend someone to read.
